143VINYL™ is very proud to announce being named as one of the 50 Fastest Growing Companies in the Greater Louisville Area by Business First. Business First calculates revenue data for dozens of privately owned companies in the area to determine which ones are setting the pace. Fast 50 companies on their list must be independent, for-profit, and privately held. To qualify each business must have an average of at least $5 Million in revenue for the three most recent fiscal years. The companies that made the list had the highest percentage of growth from 2017 through 2019.
In September 2019 Business First featured our company in an article announcing our planned expansion. Some delays in obtaining possession of our second facility followed by the COVID-19 shutdown delayed that expansion, which is now in full swing. Our main location is a 22,000 square foot facility at 4508 Shepherdsville Road in Louisville, Kentucky. We are currently expanding to a warehouse next door to add 39,000 square feet of space to house the bulk of our inventory. Our customer fulfillment, production, customer service team, and local pickup will remain at the 4508 location.
Vinyl Fanatic LLC d/b/a 143VINYL.COM (formerly 651VINYL.COM) has approximately 120 employees and is listed in the $20-49.99 Million category with eleven other businesses. Business First will hold a virtual event on October 6, 2020 to announce the winners of each category.
Sometime around early October this year we expect to ship our one-millionth order--ironically very close to our fourth birthday. Managing a new business with extremely fast growth is challenging. Our team’s ability to adapt with that rapid growth and change has been one of our keys to success. Without the people who continue to provide quality products, fast shipping and world-class customer service, we would not have built the reputation we have today. We would have reached that milestone a little earlier except for a month-long shutdown in April due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We’re lucky to be still flourishing as a viable business when so many others are suffering or even closing permanently. Our customers are some of the most supportive and loyal we have ever had the pleasure to work with. To think about the fact that our customers have entrusted us with their money and orders nearly a million times is truly amazing and we have them to thank for the support they have shown over the past four years.
